QUEBRAMAR. PORTUGAL
To achieve the client´s brief of a low budget store, black and white recessed volumes, large cylinders of light attached to a white grid suspended from the ceiling, and a shiny resin floor were used in the concept.

The project for Quebramar a chain of shops related to the sea, sets off the idea to create
a formal abstraction of its world. The architecture of the stores try to reflect the marine
world through materials, colours, and textures.
AIRA. SPAIN
Aira, a textile home store is divided between three spaces, a white corridor with backlit integrated shelving units, which links the two main exposition areas. In these spaces,
the existing brick walls were left exposed and dramatic lighting was used to highlight
the contrast between old and new.

The design concept for these stores comes from the simple, colourful and visibly two dimensional clothes of the designer. The walls are painted with psychedelic coloured
stripes, which act as dividers of the space, and connect the clothes with their surroundings.

PRIVATE HOUSE. BARCELONA
The project aims to create a backdrop in the garden of an existing house, treating the architecture of the pavilion and the pool like a piece of furniture that fits into the structure
of the garden. Wood is used to clad the floor and facade, and stone tiles for the swimming
pool, these materials visually unify the design and create a warm and comfortable environment.
This store is the beginning of a series of concept stores, where each one will be personalized
with a different colour. Considering the importance of "colour" for the brand, the intention was
not only designing a new store to accomplish brand briefing of a low cost renovation, but also
experimenting with the effect of color and light on reflective materials found in the industry.
The starting point was emptying, yet maintaining the existing space just as it was, and then
painting absolutely everything insight in a very vibrant colour. Due to the use of a special
Magenta luminescent paint and a fluorescent lighting system which runs throughout all three
different floors, the space immediately was transformed into an entirely new store.
The perception of the colour changes depending on how light reflects into it, and different
tones and shades are perceived on the floor, ceiling and walls. A new lighting system, with
a visible line of fluorescents integrated into an aluminum track, was specially designed for
the project. They float and run vertically and horizontally throughout the whole store at different
heights, and also function as lineal rails for hanging the clothes. Large geometric volumes are
used as furniture pieces around the store and are finished with metallic surfaces which reflect
the colour and light, allowing them to integrate perfectly into the chromaticism of the store.
Other materials piled within the store like alveolar wood panels or white polystyrene pallets
compose the rest of the furniture, and can be piled into different forms, allowing great flexibility
for changing the compositions depending on the product display. The final result is a great
visual impact simply made by plain industrial materials and a low cost renovation.
