The store, named "Blue by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada" is the second of a series of concept stores, where each one will be personalized with a different colour.

Considering the importance of  "colour"  for the brand,  the intention was not only designing a new store to accomplish the brand´s briefing of a low cost renovation, 

but also experimenting with the effect of color and light. The starting point was emptying, yet maintaining the existing space just as it was, and then painting absolutely 

everything insight in a very vibrant colour. Due to the use of a special Blue luminescent paint and a fluorescent lighting system which runs throughout all floors, the

space immediately was transformed  into an entirely new store. The perception of the colour changes depending on how light reflects into it, and different tones and

shades are perceived on the floor, ceiling and walls. A new lighting system, with a visible line of fluorescents integrated into an aluminum track, was specially designed

for the project. They float and run vertically and horizontally throughout the whole store at different heights, and also function as lineal rails for hanging the clothes.

Large geometric cardboard volumes are used as furniture pieces around the store. The final result is a great visual impact simply made by plain industrial materials and

a low cost renovation.

SPORTS EXPERTS CONCEPT STORE AUSTRIA

The concept for the new Sports Experts Store came from the response to the clients specific briefing. The space needed to communicate the essence of the sports world and the values of fashion and modernity without forgetting the commercial aspect of value and price. The starting point for the project was to accentuate the existing large open space and its industrial feeling, this was achieved by leaving the installations and structural elements exposed, and painted the whole space white. After this process the space evolves into a sports stadium atmosphere, and becomes a perfect white blank canvas to incorporate the architectural elements necessary.An architectural composition of a series of freestanding vertical white walls divide the space into different sales areas, and create the overall distribution. The general lighting is composed of fluorescent tubes and projectors which create

a floating horizontal grid underneath the structural beams. Concrete, wood and steel are the main materials used in the space giving a warm, modern and  trendy feel. Large black and white graphics mounted onto the freestanding walls, as well as a signage system suspending from the ceiling, help to define and locate each area easily. Dynamism is added to the store by the  " WALK OF FAME " concept, a large black glossy line, painted on the floor, which simulates a running track with graphics describing some of the most significant events in sports history. The overall concept achieves a new and fresh approach to one´s shopping experience.
